AC Installation: Frequently Asked Questions
The questions our clients ask most. Didn't find your answer? Reach us on WhatsApp.
What is your scope of work?
TTC is a full HVAC contractor, not just an AC installation company. We supply and install central AC, split units and VRF systems, and we handle the full mechanical scope around them: ductwork, ventilation, copper refrigerant lines, and coordination with contractors on new-build and renovation projects, plus HVAC design and cooling-load calculation.
I want to install an AC. Where do I even start?
Message us on WhatsApp with your space (villa, apartment, office) and roughly how many rooms or square meters you need to cool. We'll usually book a free site survey, then send you a quote covering the system type, brand options and installation timeline, so there's no guesswork on your side.
I have a villa that's still under construction. Can you start now, or do I need to wait until it's finished?
Start now, ideally. As an HVAC contractor we're often on site during construction, running ductwork, refrigerant lines and drainage and leaving the right sleeves and openings before walls and ceilings close up. Bringing us in at the concrete or finishing stage (rather than after tiling and paint) saves rework and gives a cleaner installation, especially for central AC or VRF.
Are you just an AC installation company, or do you handle full HVAC contracting?
Full HVAC contracting. Beyond supplying and installing AC units, we design and install ductwork and ventilation, run copper refrigerant lines, calculate cooling loads, and work alongside architects and main contractors on new-build and commercial fit-out projects from an early construction stage through to handover and after-sales maintenance.
Can you handle ducting and HVAC for a whole new building or a commercial fit-out, not just a single AC unit?
Yes. New construction and commercial fit-outs are a core part of our work: VRF and ducted central systems sized for the whole building, coordinated with the project's MEP drawings and construction schedule, not just a one-off split unit installation.
What do you need from me to give a quote for installing AC in my apartment or villa?
Ideally a floor plan or a quick site visit, the number of rooms or the area you want cooled, and any brand or budget preference you already have. If you don't have a floor plan, a free site survey covers it. Just message us on WhatsApp to arrange one.
Do you handle ventilation for kitchens, bathrooms or parking garages, or only air conditioning?
That's part of our core scope too. Kitchen extraction, bathroom exhaust and parking-garage or basement ventilation are ductwork and ventilation work we design and install alongside AC systems, or as standalone projects.
How long does a project take for a villa or apartment?
It depends on the site's size and readiness. An apartment installation usually takes about 3 to 6 working days, while a villa can take 1 to 3 weeks. You get a clear timeline as part of your quote.
What warranty do you offer?
We provide a workmanship warranty on the installation plus the manufacturer's warranty on the equipment. The exact terms depend on the system and project, and we spell them out in your quote.
Do you offer periodic maintenance and after-sales service?
Yes. We provide periodic maintenance and after-sales service for every system we install, and we take on maintenance and repair requests.
Which brands do you carry?
We supply and install LG, Frost and Aux units, and for VRF systems we install LG. We're an installation contractor, not an official dealer for any brand, and we help you pick the brand and model that suit your site and budget.
What's the difference between central AC and split units?
Central AC distributes air through a duct network from a main unit and suits larger spaces and villas, while split units serve specific rooms or areas and are simpler and faster to install. We help you choose after surveying the site.
What are VRF systems and who are they for?
VRF systems use variable refrigerant flow to give independent, highly efficient control of each zone. They suit offices, shops, commercial projects and multi-room buildings.
Who installs VRF systems in Amman?
TTC Engineering & Air Conditioning, an HVAC contractor on Wasfi Al-Tall Street in Amman. We design, supply and install LG VRF systems for villas, offices, shops and commercial buildings in Amman and across Jordan, including the load calculation, refrigerant piping, pressure testing, commissioning and maintenance.
VRF or split: which is better for a villa?
For a larger villa with many rooms or several floors, VRF is often the better choice: fewer outdoor units, every room controlled on its own, and efficient running when only some rooms are on. For a smaller villa, a ducted split per floor or wall-mounted splits usually give better value. See our VRF vs split vs ducted split comparison, or ask us for a free site visit.
Do you install ducted split (concealed) AC?
Yes. Ducted split is one of our most common villa and apartment installations: the indoor unit sits hidden in the false ceiling and feeds the rooms through ductwork and linear or slot diffusers. We size it with a cooling-load calculation and install the ducts, copper lines and drainage ourselves.
Is the site visit free?
Yes. The site visit and the quote are free, with no obligation. Message us on WhatsApp on +962 7 9622 2056 to book one.
Do you carry out ductwork and ventilation?
Yes. Ductwork (air ducts) and ventilation are a core part of our services. We design and install them within AC projects or as standalone works.
Do you calculate the site's cooling load?
Yes. We calculate the cooling load (the site's requirement) accurately before recommending the system and capacity, to ensure good performance and energy savings.
What areas do you serve?
We're based on Wasfi Al-Tall Street in Amman and work across Jordan: all over Amman (including Abdoun, Dabouq, Khalda, Tla' Al-Ali, Jabal Amman, Sweifieh, Shmeisani and Airport Road), plus Zarqa, Irbid, Salt and Madaba. Message us to confirm coverage for your site and book a survey visit.
How much do LG units cost?
LG unit prices depend on capacity, model and installation type, so we don't publish fixed figures here to keep the quote accurate. Contact us and we'll provide a free, tailored quote.
How quickly do you respond?
We aim to respond quickly to client requests. The fastest way to reach us is WhatsApp, and we'll get back to you promptly to arrange a survey.
